What is counted. A Reddit comment in which the writer says they have switched, or are about to switch, from one maker’s AI to another’s. Each person counts once per direction per week or month.
Bars. Above the line: people heading to the upper maker; below: to the lower one. The side that won the period is solid, the other pale. The last bar is the period still running and grows until it ends; green stripes are comments read in the last few minutes, not yet checked by the language model.
Line. The balance, day by day: for each day, the 7 days around it (31 on the monthly chart). It is dashed at the end, where the days after have not happened yet.
Releases. Each maker’s model releases sit in its own band; tap one to open its announcement. A highlighted release is our reading of a peak: filled = the model people said they were moving to, outlined = a rival’s model they said they were leaving. Read from what they wrote, not measured.
